The decision to start Ramadan Tuesday is UNAINAMOUS for all the Hilal Sighting Committees of North America including New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Texas, California, Toronto etc. and also endorsed by ICNA (Islamic Circle of North America), Zaytuna Institute, Shariah Board of America, Ulema Council of North America and many others Alhamdulillaah.

Today, Sunday is 29th of Sh'aban and we request Muslims in North America to observe the Hilal for the blessed month of Ramadan and report.
As per the lunar calculation and its visibility curve that can be seen here http://www.crescentmoonwatch.org/nextnewmoon.htm , Hilal is unlikely to be seen in North America. Therefore, if we don't receive authentic and verifiable Hilal sighting reports tonight then Ramadan will begin Tuesday, Sept.  2nd Insha’Allaah.
