The Hilal Sighting Committee adheres to the traditional principle that months of the Islamic calendar begin and end based on confirmed naked-eye sightings of the crescent moon shortly after sunset.  As one of the few organizations upholding this interpretation of the Prophetic Sunnah, the Hilal Sighting Committee is in need of your assistance and du'as.
