There are authenticated reports of sighting the Shawwal moon by 10 witnesses at Port Charlotte, FL, 8 witnesses at Weslaco, TX and several witnesses in San Fransisco Bay area. Update:12:05AM Eastern time:
Hundreds of experienced observers scattered from Albany NY to Brownsville, TX and several places in California tried to sight the Hilal and confirmed that the Ramadan Hilal was not visible
anywhere inspite of clear skies.
The decision to start Ramadan Tuesday is UNAINAMOUS for all the Hilal Sighting Committees of North America including New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Texas, California, Toronto etc. and also endorsed by ICNA (Islamic Circle of North America), Zaytuna Institute, Shariah Board of America, Ulema Council of North America and many others Alhamdulillaah.
